Here is my script feel free to record as little or as much as you want from it: why chase an uncertainty, walk down a path without clarity why wonder about possibility and do something differently why refuse to surrender so stubbornly why not just let it be we didn’t grow up in the land of the free, but freedom was in our veins and dreams. Speaking our minds was a crime so feared. Tweeting had to conform to predefined ideology. Liking a facebook post brought tragedy. We dreamt of developing individual identities, crafting carelessly, stepping out of boxes made too small for you and me, our thoughts were meant to roam free. Yes we faced suppression that increased steadily bullets knives bombs and dungeons from where we couldn’t flee. We held the limbs of loved ones, turned playgrounds to graveyards but refused to bury our dreams. why make our throat bleed when we’re sure they cannot hear because living in fear is (death) a like a corpse with no feeling and we decided to be alive which means free assembly, speaking your heart and taking to the streets, living in equality and rising according to your competency, not your bank account, your name, or your family why risk arrest, electricity, scud missiles and chlorine, 5 million displaced and 3 million refugees. why bare our chests to face monstrosities what is revolution? it is the mess the media wants us to see? the rise of extremism beheadings and other shocking scenes? no one wants to write about the LCC, the first vote of democracy, the little girl singing free or the men handing out roses to soldiers on the street revolution is choosing life after 40 years of suffocating under tyranny syrians have chosen to be free and with their blood they regain their dignity there is no certainly except in their bravery and their iron will to live free there is no other possibility
