I would love to chat to you about your inventory project as it is something I am extremely familiar with - I have over 15 years professional experience building Access based solutions, am degree qualified in database design and development, and have worked extensively in inventory management building multiple solutions in this field. Your proposal looks great, although I would recommend creating a final products table, and a linking table between parts and products to allow for greater flexibility. That way if a new final product is added you will be able to create it yourself easily without having to touch the underlying table structure / re-build reports, etc. This can still be managed / displayed in the manner you are after using pivots, SQL, and VBA.
