I already implemented the barcode scanner for Odoo 8 over my Intermec CN3 which is Windows Mobile 6.0 platform. But, it is able to downgrade to Windows Mobile 5.0 as well. It is able to search the EAN-13 code and response with any related product such as product name, location, available stock, etc. Also, it has the ability for stock updating, product rename, etc.

It was not a stand alone solution, applications were implemanted to work as complement to existing ERP solution, operating on the same database. I don't understand are You trying to develop something like that or a stand alone app and what devices are You planing to use? These Datalogic devices that I worked with have screen resolution of 240x320 and it is hard to display or to acquire much data through it so to build a whole ERP system that is having all the data needed and is fast and easy to use would be challenging. I didn't have time to take a detailed look at Odoo Warehouse but I will so we can discuss it further...
