Question: Discuss the impact of globalization on international HRM in multinational companies,considering the different international strategies that companies pursue or the different national culture and institutions. Guidelines: The answer must take the form of a literature review of 3,000 words (+/- 350 words excluding a list of references (a list of which must be included at the end of the assignment to indicate the sources used). You must state the word count on the cover sheet. You need to incorporate an example of existing MNCs to support the arguments you make, but no primary research - such as interviews or questionnaires - needs to be undertaken The Harvard referencing system should be used. Use Times New Roman font, size 12, and one-and-a half rather than single spacing. Use sub-headings where appropriate to guide the reader through your work (do not just present one continuous piece of text). A literature review entails examining a range of relevant academic (and perhaps some practitioner) sources to identify different perspectives on the particular question. You are expected in your analysis to cover a range of material which may include books, journal articles, government publications, other published studies/reports, as well as ‘quality’ business magazines and newspapers. Whilst stating your own personal views is not the main objective, you may indicate which particular arguments or perspectives you agree or disagree with, and perhaps also suggest at the end of the review what you feel the implications of your analysis might be (for practitioners and/or for researchers).
