I have a simple SVG vector graphic. Shades of three different colors are used in this graphic(red, blue and black) What I want is code(HTML5, Javascript, CSS or PHP) that can change the color in the graphic. For example I want to change the red color to green or the blue color to yellow. Please note that the original color is not 1 RGB value but different shades of the color. You should not create any GUI, all I need is a function I could call that changes the colors in the original SVG file. Also, it is not necessary for the file to be in SVG format, if it's easier to accomplish this in another format it is OK. Computer Graphics, CSS, HTML5, Javascript, PHP

I can create the requested function for you using Javascript. You would call the function in one of your own scripts whenever you need the color to change. My question is how do the different shades differ from one another - in other words are all the other shades created by adding various degrees of black/white to the original color or are they determined differently?
