1. Select ANY Access db in ANY format with ANY fields and field names. 2. Select table or query within that db 3. If query is selected and needs input boxes, prompt user for that information. 4. Prompt user for the number of records per output table, (default value should be 500) 5. Create a new Access db. Allow the user to select the path of the access db. 6. Split the selected table into many smaller tables. Each table should contain no more than the “number of records per table?? value entered previously. Create the new tables within the new db that contains no more than the “number of records per table?? value entered previously. For example if source table has 2200 records then you should have 4 target tables that contain 500 records each and one target table that contains 200 records, ALL within ONE Access database. 7. Name the TARGET tables them as such: tblOld_Table_Name_r1_to_r500 and tblOld_Table_Name_r501_to_r1000 and so on …. tblOld_Table_Name = is the table name of the source db r501_to_r1000 = is the record numbers in this table 8. Give a quick report that contains the procedure and save a record of that in the log with time, date, and the rest of the info. Everytime the app is run just append to this log file. 9. At this time I want to make this an exe file that runs by itself. However, I will later need to use this as a procedure that will have this as one of its sub routines. 10. Must be done in Visual Basic 6.0 and must run on WIN 98
