DOS Text Editor with VB.NET integration.

I need a clone of MS DOS ??" EDIT ??" application with the same features and functionality (keyboard and mouse support, word wrap, etc.). I also need it to work with a .NET text editor application. Essentially I would like to be able to do the following: 1. Launch .NET text editor (will more than likely be written in VB.NET) 2. Pass an object/string/variable to the DOS Editor app. where I can edit the content as necessary 3. When I DOS exit the editor, the updated text/content will updated in the .NET editor as well. I know some of you will have some questions about the purpose of this so I will try to address as many of them here: 1. I write as a hobby, and I’m building a lightweight word processor for myself in VB.NET. 2. I’ve been sitting the fence when it comes to using GUI based word processors/Text Editors and Old-School DOS editors. I like the minimalist feel of a DOS editor, but I also like GUI based applications as well. 3. My wish is to be able to switch seamlessly between these two types of editors. Deliverables*: 1. VB.NET example of integration with DOS editor (commented as appropriate) 2. Source for DOS Editor (commented as appropriate) * This is in addition to RAC standard deliverables, as per bid requests. Notes: I have existing source code written in Turbo C++, and I am assuming that it’s one of the only methods of building an editor in this fashion. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Win XP
