URGENT -- HELP!
I'm running an ad server program (RevSense v2.5) and it runs great, but since it's an unfinished beta it has a few minor problems. I need someone to help me fix these little issues with this software.
We can handle this one by one, if you like, each small problem handled as a project. So let's tackle the first problem:
For both the advertisers and the publishers, the stats are not showing correctly. There is also not the right kind of information in the stats. The makers of RevSense have released the beta, but they have no timeline to finish. We can start with this problem and then go from there, with pay for each problem, as mentioned.
Right now, the primary issue is this -- see if you can understand the problem. The larger the site is getting (the more ads that are being served), the weirder the stats and balances are getting. Yesterday, we had a publisher (banner code on their pages) pull something like 30,000 impressions...then the system stopped logging clicks. Meaning, it logs it in the database, but they're not showing up in stats. Also, the same problem with account balances. Balances are (rather suddenly) changing somehow when admin (me) looks at the account from the admin panel. It could say $597.93 in the list of advertisers, then when I go detail page for the advertiser, it suddenly says $600.00 again...the original balance. And when I go back to the list, it's $600 again. And if I log in as the advertiser...it's the same. But even in the advertiser's stats panel I can see the clicks are still there, but you can't see them in the stats for "Today". They're also not in the stats area for the ad.
My PHP knowledge is decent, but I don't think I'm up for this challenge just yet. But I have a feeling this is all connected to the same issue. Like I said, the information is all being stored correctly in the database, but isn't being called correctly somehow.
But I can't have a CPC ad network that doesn't log clicks or update balances when it gets busy. :/
OK, so if we can fix this first minor problem (logging and display fixes), then we can work on the others, fix-for-fix with pay.
If it turns out that you're good and quick at what you do, then we can turn out a module or two for this program and maybe we can work on fixes for two other sites and a possible build of two new applications for two other sites. But that really depends on how these first fixes go.
Please bid appropriately (for this first fix) and message me with examples of past work or just to let me know you understand the problems and can fix them. Can provide the winning bidder with the complete working program as it is today, access to what they need to get started and anything else. Must be able to start right away! I mean, like...today (seriously). thanks --
