I am in the need to develop a mobile chat application in android and iOS platforms. The chat functionality will consist of basic user status notification and text chat. The same app then has to be integrated to a gaming application whcih is already in existence. As and when the change of level in game happens, the same will have to get communicated to this chat and get displaced on the status bar. So here are the details: 1) Android and iOS basic chat app which will connect to server 2) One time registration Verification with the SMS, but the value is automatically verified without the user needing to enter 3) Backend app to send the verification code in a SMS - this will require us to utilise a 3rd party SMS gateway 4) The app will ONLY be in text, single chat and status message and NOT group chatting and no other features like photo, video, voice message and contact share. 5) If the friend gets a call, the other chat friend will see that he is on call Now the challenge I am throwing for the developer is, I am wanting to develop the server side part of the app for a user base of 1 million to start with and to be scalable from that figure on wards. That means 1 Million active users of the app. Hence rather than using a third party API and calling in the functionality of that, I would have the same developed and use it on my server to have the full control. Also I would prefer the server code to be on ejabberd or Tigase or Node.JS I would like to hear back from you with a solution proposal if you have the talent.
