I would like someone to 1. Convert the TIGER/Line Shapefiles:Places for all the 50 us States and territories to KML. These are the files. [login to view URL] 2. Host these files on a Google Maps based web application and display them as overlays where the user pans or zooms. 3. Create the capability to have the user provide a point (lat/lng) by clicking on the map or providing coordinates and then determine which Place polygon the point is within or, if its not within a Place, which Place it nearest to.
