DEBT CALCULATOR WITH "DEBT PIG" FEEDBACK ANIMATION Summary Create an interactive animation in Java or Flash tied in with a series of debt reduction calculation tools. This will give a light and whimsical tone to an otherwise dull or unpleasant online activity. The animation will reflect calculation on the data entered into the fields for debt reduction and savings. The animation will be of an edgy or whimsical "debt pig". As the calculations yield more favorable results for the user, the pig will get happier and healthier/buff, but more glib and gaunt/fat as the results are worse. In the interim, to keep the feeling of the tools light, the pig could dance, look around, wink, and nod. The page with the debt tools may be situated at a secondary or deeper level of the site, but the theme of the “debt pig?? and the animations may be consistent throughout the site. The main banner, metaphor, colors, typography and functionality of the site will be built around the feel of the debt tools and the pig animations. The entry window where credit card debt is entered will be represented by a slop bucket The House payment numbers will be enclosed by the pigs pen. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). The tool must be interactive, vibrant, and very compeling to a user. The tool must accuratley calculate and use proper formulas to calculate both physical characteristics of the pic as well as listed resluts. ## Platform The web tool will be integrated as part of a site and may be called from php. The aim will be to lead users to this page, so other pages may draw on the same "debt pig" images and animations. The user data will be captured and stored in an associative database, paired with their personal information. The financial and personal information will be kept in session data to make the page and the site personalized, as well as for use upon subsequent site visits. The applet can be developed in JavaScript or Java in order to ensure that the data entry can be applied to the animation of the pig, the final rating, suggestions, and database entries. The user database entries will also be accessible from a separate admin panel or tool to extract and compile personal and financial information. The applet should not be blocked by firewall or browser pop-up controls. The applet must have a reasonable bandwidth requirement for home users, with a download in the range of 100k to 200k at most.
