Senior Lead Developer for complex PHP site

Senior Developer to serve as the lead developer to design and build a highly complex and groundbreaking B2B site that will become the leader in a particular untapped global business market, and to provide architecture guidance and take the lead in defining and developing company-wide front and back-end solutions. Opportunity to remain permanently on deck as virtual CTO. Platform design includes complex catalogs for B2B products; complex eCom, banking, escrow accounting and FX systems; a freelancer division similar to freelancer.com; groups software incorporating financial accounts for each group and Circles type social media. Required skills include, PHP, HTML/XHTML, CSS, Browser script (DHTML, Jscript, Javascript, ECMAscript, and so on), RDBMS programming and SQL queries. The Senior Developer will work directly on low level design. This can take many forms (Commented pseudo-code, Class hierarchies, RDB table schema, Stubbed functions with comments), as determined on the fly by whatever works best. Drupal D7, D7 Commerce and Groups core can be considered but such possibly involves too much customisation to the effect that starting from scratch using a Yii framework or similar may be the best option. The Senior Developer will initially use our mock-ups to produce the low level design and will then organise and supervise a small expert team to code the project. The Senior Developer must have achieved a high degree of proficiency in coding internet publishing and Web 2.0 solutions and must demonstrate excellent object oriented conceptual skills. The Senior Developer will also have experience leading development teams, with a track record of motivating a team to develop solutions that are within timelines, budgets and established coding standards. We are looking for a great code writer, team leader and forward thinker with ambition to advance to CTO for a major highly scaled platform. Salary will commence at a base rate and then increase upon performance. Good English language telephone ability is essential.
