GUI and sort of macro-program mouse/keystroke

An existing heavy duty scale and an existing C-program (DOS and Windows), which transport results via serial cable need to be enhanced: - a GUI to use the existing functions (Please, familiarise yourself with the C source). - a setup prog, which would allow the enduser to define where the resulting data on the scale should go to (which Windows program, which window, which field). Basic idea is, that it should work with next to any Windows application. - enduser must be able to define up to five progams, where the data would be transported to - the GUI must allow to start itself or check if it is started already as soon as one of the preset applications is being started. If the scale is not active then, the GUI must tell so. No resident mode and do not change any existing exe files. Instead of it is in the users responsibility to start first the GUI and second select the application behind it, where the scales data should be transported to. - Depending on the setup data would always have to be inserted automatically into the desired field of the application active or not before the user has hit an OK key. - The GUI must not be too simple or at worst have an extra option to add a background or a frame, so that it is recognizable on first sight even on large screens with various opened windows. This setting up should be necessary only once, so it would work any time, whenever the scale is active and one of the preset programs started. This new code must be kept as independent as possible. So it would work with any data delivered in the same format as is found in the existing attachment. As a suggestion from a non-programer: It would be sufficient to record keystrokes and/or mouse movements. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
