Database full backup is locking up the server at the end of the backup process. No bad pages, corruptions or bad alloc extent pointers are found in the database -- ie, all appears good. But the server completely freezes at the end of the back up. And the resultant backup fails the verification test.

Hi, That sounds familiar, I think I have come across it with an SME customer a while back. I am a full time DBA team lead and get escalated curlies like this one. I think I tried startup switches before recreating the entire DB whole with permissions etc. intact. Backup should not block, however – your backup could be causing performance issues that would cause timeout errors. It all depends on how your IO system is configured, how many drives you have, where you are backing up, etc...

It's a little trick actually you need the new db with same table names as in backup, if you have some changes it will make problem. Then you have to select an option ___ check box shown on second tab of restore window. I am willing to do the task at your desired rate even at 1 USD As I am new and I need review and rating.
