I have a software as a service product that handles order generation, invoicing, and payment management for event rental businesses. I would like to add Quickbooks integration to my product. The integration must be able to run on linux. It will need to access data in a MySQL database or via a web service and send that data to Quickbooks using the Intuit/Quickbooks API. I prefer it to be written in Perl, but am open to the solution being written in Perl, Ruby, Python, or (if necessary), Java.

I'm interested in that project. I'm experienced(15+) perl web developer and linux administrator. I can make the integration scripts in perl. We should discuss the project in more detail what is ti be done as Quiickbooks has quite big api which means that integration might get complicated depending on the requirements.
