A working prototype for an employee skills database created in MS Access 2010 or newer. The database should allow skills to be displayed in categories and sub-categories (e.g. Computing / Virtualisation / VMware) and allow the employee to select the type of skill they have (e.g. Design, implementation, support). The database should have a facility for an administrator (no security controls are required for prototype) to add new categories and subcategories using a form. A spread sheet prototype listing the required categories etc. is available for further clarification. The prototype should be able to handle

Hi, From what you have described here this should be straightforward to do but would it be possible to get an idea of the final project. This would make it easier to allow of future additions. e.g. I am guessing there will need to be a search facility. e.g. select a list of skills and list employees that cover those skills and will this be role based. i.e. employee must have certain skills to be considered qualified for certain roles? Technically I have 15+ years developing VB and database applications and I have developed numerous access applications for various requirements. So I believe I should be able to provide the application you require. Should you consider this bid, then please contact me and send on the spreadsheet you mentioned.
