School library automation system needs a software upgrade. Software currently used is Media Center Master: [login to view URL] The upgrade will be on the same software, but needs an upgrade to automate barcodes, opac and graphics. Software upgrade Existing Features (marked with an X) X Acquisition Management X Barcode Scanning X Catalog Management X Circulation Management X Fee Collection OPAC / web based X Patron Management Periodicals Management X Reserve Shelf Management RFID Search Functionality /works but needs upgrade Self Check-in / Check-Out X Serials Management Unicode Compliance Z39.50 Support Academic Reporting Admissions Management Assessment Management Attendance Tracking Behavior Management Bookstore Management Classroom Management Curriculum Management Enrollment Management Event Calendar Facility Management Faculty / Staff Management Financial Management Fundraising Management Interface Alerts via SMS or Email Schools are able to alert students on emergencies and key events. New alerts are set as per the school may fit appropriate. Eg: Teacher can trigger automated SMS to parents when student is absent along with his total attendance percentage. Check Report Cards Parents can now check report cards with trend analysis on chats. Take steps to help their children to focus on subjects that need special attention Track Attendance Track attendance based either on subjects or day. Graphical analysis to check if lower attendance correlates to lower marks. Class Work and Home work Check home work posted by teachers. View all class work, class notes including test and exam papers in one place Calender & Events School events and key dates are available online in a calendar format. Events can be viewed by day, week and Month enabling easy planning. Card Reading Access Control systems Access control system determines who is allowed to enter or exit the school, so access card must be linked to attendance register.
