UPDATE: Thanks for all the bids so far; I jsut wanted to let you know that I am a bit surprised of the the princing levels of some of you. The previous engineer (that disappeared) got the database up and running in about 1.5 hours....So I thought I could get things fixed for a budget prices. I did not expect to get bids from about 750dollars; so that is a pricing level that I did not have in mind. Now, it's late in the evening, so tomorrow-morning i will get through the bids and let you all know what i have decided. Thanks so far for you interest. I had a website on a server that fell down and had to be rebooted. But i kept felling down so the hoster told me that de server had to be replaced and i got en new one; alle the files were transferred but the website was not visible anymore. It appeared that maybe the rebooting caused a corrupted TAR file. The server is a Proliant server, Centos Plesk, Linux are installed. So I found somebody, he started, and send me the first restored pages, and then he disappeared; doesnt answer the app, phone, and email... So it's possible to restore. So i ask you to make a back up of the TAR file and put the copy on your local LInux workstation Me is told that sometime the *FRN files are missing. You need to recover the mySWL ddatabase (that is what the other guy told me what had to be done) And also you need to recover the website, and there might be some PHP errors due to the fact that the website had an older language than the PHP on the server. So who can help me.

Observations: Reboot never corrupt the tar files. We need to check the database integrity first. This can be restored using the DB structure and data. Please go through my past recovery jobs and customer feedback in application hosting and DB management over nine years
