We are using DD WRT firmware on D-Link AC 3200. The router is use for creating a offline hotspot. The users connect to the hotspot to browse a website hosted locally on server connected to the hotspot directly. We have setup dnsmasq on the router to redirect the website url ([login to view URL]) to the ip address of the server. We want to configure captive portal on the router such that any user who connects to the hotspot is automatically redirected to [login to view URL] url.

Hello To implement offline hotspot, you need to install dns server on your dd-wrt system. Normally DD-WRT has dnsmasq as local dns server and forwarding, and also dnsmasq works as dhcp server. On the dnsmasq configuration, write address filtering script that redirect all dns addresses to your dns and on the iptables firewall redirect port 53 to your router's. That is all, it is easy to implement. Thanks, hope it helps for your project.

Okay so right now it redirects to the IP address but you want it to display the Domain name instead of the IP address? If so we can make these changes. I have worked with walled gardens and customer dd wrt configs to do this.
