This logo is for a team of 3 triathletes competing in the Madison Ironman in Sep

This logo is for a team of 3 triathletes competing in the Madison Ironman in September, 2012. I need this logo completed by Friday, 7/27. I'm looking for something more original than your typical stick-figure runner/swimmer/bicyclist that many Ironman or triathalon logos use, but I'm not opposed to a creative and unique interpretation of these symbols. The team name is "Team MPH", which will need to be in the logo somewhere, but does not represent miles per hour; rather, it is the initials of the team members. All of the team members are Irish, so an Irish themed logo could be an option, like Celtic style imagery, four leaf clover, etc. The team members all share a tribal sense to their passion for running, biking and swimming, as it connects them to their "caveman roots". In essence, the logo should represent some of the following characteristics - toughness, speed, commitment, endurance, Irish, carnal, running, biking, swimming - anything that conveys the spirit of an Ironman. Since they are all Irish, green and orange colors could be used, but I'd prefer to see simple black and white logos first. Another thing to consider is that these will be on a jersey or t-shirt of some sort and I don't want the logo printing to be too bulky so as to stick against the skin, so the logo shouldn't have too many big bulky solid shapes. Some files are attached to this with some Celtic imagery and a few logo styles I came across, but they are just for a quick reference, and I'm not set on them being used.
