Hi everyone!
I wanted to reach out because I’m actively recruiting a ghostwriter/collaborator for a client who is interested in developing and indie publishing a series of books geared at teaching entrepreneurial concepts to kids. We’re looking for an experienced YA or children’s literature author with at least one published book and ideally previous experience with collaborative writing.
The books are middle grade level (to be refined) and he’s quite an active brainstormer that needs a partner who thinks well on his/her feet, writes crisply including very sharp dialogue, and enjoys an active partnership but is willing to take the lead and run with it in terms of actual production. Candidates in the New England/New York area would be phenomenal, but location is not a major issue. Faith is a central component of this entrepreneur’s approach to life, so there will be a component of that to the books (so writers should be comfortable with that space).
At this point, I’m just working to identify the field of candidates as we are simultaneously finalizing a short overview to share with interested candidates. Our goal would be someone who could start on the project on or about June 1st, if not before, and devote time to it until it’s complete. If the collaboration goes well, this could turn into an ongoing, long-term relationship.
Compensation is an open discussion including flat fee, per word, royalties, and more.
If you’re potentially interested, please contact me with the following information – please send me a quick note indicating your interest, a little bit about your background, a link to your website if you have one, and a short writing sample (a chapter out of an existing book, or a couple of pages with a directive of the book title to buy if interested in exploring further).
We’ll then be sorting through the contacts, and providing a more in-depth detailed document to top candidates. We commit to responding to each full application that we receive. For now, please post the information requested above and then we'll come back to you with the full information. At that point, you can submit your final bid.
Thanks so much in advance!
Best,
Liz
