I am looking for a developer who will create a demo app that obtains Facebook Access and Refresh tokens, with the process being initiated from a .NET Maui application with an ASP.NET backend. I will supply a GitHub repo with a new .NET Maui App, AFB source, and a .NET Core Api Project connected to an Azure App Service. The backend will simply receive the access token, write this to an ILogger, and make a single FB Graph call on behalf of the user to prove it works. The frontend should have a simple button which is launch the authorization process. This should work on Windows, Android, and iOS. The access token should pretty much be able to get all Facebook data.
I think on the integration side, this needs to use a FB Manual Flow (but cannot use an embedded web browser, as that is being deprecated for auth)

On the Maui side, I would love to use a WebAuthenticator

BUT there are technical challenges with this on Windows that must be overcome:
- Purpose of obtaining the Facebook Access token: To access and interact with the Facebook Graph API
- Versions: Maui and ASP.NET Core Api Project both using .NET 8
- The outputs will need to include complete documentation on setting up the Facebook App
Skills and experience required for this project include:
- Strong knowledge of OAuth 2.0 authentication method
- Proficiency in .NET Maui 8 and ASP.NET Core 8.0
- Experience with integrating Facebook Graph API
- Familiarity with handling user authentication in .NET Maui applications
If you have the necessary skills and experience, please submit your proposal.
btw: After this project is successful, I will have downstream work in this sample project to get access tokens for all of the major platforms: LinkedIn, Google, MS Graph,...
And if you got to the end of this, "AFB source" is so that I can determine more rapidly who is using an auto-responder verses reading this post and writing a proposal.
