Hi, I think I would be best for this project because I speak English and French very well and like you am a newcomer so we could work together and the fees would be negotiable but not more than your maximum, to get us both started. I like to work together and collaborate. I have done much translation on Wikipedia from French in which I would say I am very good to English my native language. I have a bookshelf full of linguistic works but today for example (well Hungarian time, may be yesterday your time) I was speaking English, Hungarian, a little German, and some Spanish: I don't list German and Spanish because although I can understand them I would not dare to translate anything INTO english and don't let anyone persuade you they could: my machine translation lecturer, Howard Somers, one of the best in the business, taught me that at the University of Manchester twenty-five years ago. I am an excellent technical writer and grammaticist. My profile looks awful because this website totally refuses to take edits into my profile box for what I can do, I don't know why! (As if the delete key doesn't work any more.) I shouldn't say this but if anyone says they can speak six languages fluently they probably can't. I can speak British English fluently, some varieties of American English well, and French well, and Hungarian passably. Hungarian is a niche because few others can understand it.
