Blog about the pandemic - Sao Paulo

Hello, Sarah and Jason, how are you? I'm a content writer and translator, and I've already written for a company blog ([login to view URL]). Also, I'm graduated in Journalism and had roles throughout my career such as editor, reporter and proofreader. So writing is something I love. Right now, my family and I are living in quarantine (24 days so far) in a city beside São Paulo, called Santo André. The social isolation is tough. My dad is disabled and diabetic and my grandmother is 95 years old (they're both in the first risk group). My mother is pretty healthy, but still an elder. And I'm HIV+ (and I talk openly about it, even in my standup presentations - yes, I'm a comedian too!). Our scores are: - Resources: +1 (the thing here is income, which might be a problem in the near future) - Working: 0 (no work for any of them besides me; I'm struggling to get work. Probably it'll all come down to me in the next months) - Parenting: n/a (they are elders, I'm already a grown-up, it is mostly me "parenting" them, ;) ) - Relationships: +1 (as the days pass, it's getting harder and harder) - Body: +2 (I exercise everyday, but my parents don't) - Mind (I'm meditating and trying to maintain a routine, but I'm the only one. I like to write articles and I have interesting stories, about the daily life that I am going through, in the face of this pandemic. I like to express my point of view and follow the events of my family. I am unemployed and I have time available.

I am a mother of a 9 year-old daughter and I work as an interviewer and moderator of debates for corporate events - which means I am currently at home, once all my jobs were cancelled until the end of the pandemic. I also work as a translator and voiceover talent, so I can do the voice recordings in my own home studio. The father of my daughter is helping a lot with the homeschooling and also attending the online classes that her school is providing. I only go out to buy food in local small markets and to go to my parents house, so I can help them cope with the quarantine (since my mother suffers from severe depression and anxiety disorders). What keeps me calm and confident during this quarantine are: daily yoga, meditation and walking around my building, since here in Brazil we are still allowed to do that. I´m a 42 years old journalist, married, father of a 20 yrs old girl and a 7 years old girl (who is home schooling). We are all confined in our apartment, in Sao Paulo. I´d love to take this opportunity to tell our experiences during the São Paulo´s quarantine

I can understand people concerns about this pandemia, mainly because I am very empathetic and absolutely focused on the well being and to understand human nature. I am a practitioner of yoga, meditation and doing currently Reiki classes to bring cure for me and for everybody around.

Hello Sarah and Jason, I am interested in this position, I believe I have the perfect profile. I live in Brasília, Brazil’s capital. I've been already 5 weeks in quarantine. I also have a Youtube channel where I shared my travel experiences worldwide. I’m journalist, 28 years old and I live with my fiancé. Please consider the following highlights: 1. Resources: +2. We bought food for one month, and we are cooking every day and searching new food recipes on Youtube. 
 2. Working: -1. I was working as content editor at a technology’s agency during 4 years, however, with the coronavirus, my company doesn’t have income to pay all the employees and this month will be the last payment. 
 3. Parenting: -3. I don’t have kids, just a cat. 
 4. Relationships: +2. I have a fiancé and it’s been 4 years that we are in a relationship, but just 3 months living together, our “honeymoon” nowadays it’s at home, so we are adjusting the daily routine. Sometimes the feeling goes from love to hate in seconds.
 5. Body: +2. I exercise every day and I’m also a yoga teacher, so during quarantine I teach free yoga classes on Instagram every Monday, Wednesday and Friday to help others to connect mind, body and soul. 6. Mind: +2. I meditate every day, and I joined a free meditation group online every Monday and an online theater group every Thursday.
