Help with subdomain htaccess rewrite

I have a website running WordPress at [login to view URL] and I just created a new blog using subdomain and a second installation of WordPress at https://blog.domain.com. Both of these are currently up and running and working fine. However, now I need consultation as to what do I need to do in order to make it appear to the user that there is no subdomain, instead, I want the new blog to work via URL [login to view URL]* I believe what I need is first a htaccess redirect from [login to view URL] to [login to view URL] AND then a htaccess rewrite from [login to view URL] to [login to view URL] I already did the redirect and it's working. But I'm unable to figure out how to do the URL rewrite. Please place a bid if you can help. You will not get any server access, you tell me what to edit, I will do that and we will see if that works.
