AWS - CentOS7 kernel panic after yum update - Wont boot

Performed a YUM update on this CentOS7 web server and upgraded php from 7.0 to 7.4 but seems the server now kernel panics when i boot up. I took a snapshot after the yum update and before upgrading php from 7.0 to 7.4 but cant seem to restore the snapshot and attach it to the volume/instance as it kernal panics. Need an AWS magician!
