I Athota Rathan Babu working as an assistant professor in the department of Aeronautical Engineering, with the specializations such as: Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) using ANSYS, ANSYS CFX, OpenFOAM, Aerodynamics, Fluid Mechanics.
Moreover I'm a research scholar of Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC BarcelonaTECH) in the department of Physics– Division of Aerospace Engineering and my area of research work is thermal flow investigations using OpenFOAM. Steps involved to perform Computational Fluid Dynamic Analysis of super/hyper-sonic missiles using ANSYS:
1. Mesh of the super/hypersonic missiles ---------- 1 day (Pre-processing)
2. Simulation with suitable boundary and initial conditions which will be performed in High performance Computing facility (HPC) clusters ---------------- 1 day (Simulation)
3. Post-processing for the results ------------ 1 day (Post-processing ).
4. Report, which includes the details of mesh, numerical schemes used, convergence criteria and other details of the simulation ---- 1 day
