Hi, everyone. I'm looking for an experienced developer with knowledge of online/offline video players. I need a desktop video player for online videos only. It's basically for Windows, MacOs, and Linux, all those 3. I know what functions I need for the player but unfortunately I don't know pretty much anything about programming so I'm not sure what it really needs on technical sides to create it and not sure what language is the best for it. As you see, the budget is not so high for this kinda project, I suppose, so a developer should know well about multi-platform development to make it as easy as possible. That'd be nice if you already had your original video player similar that you could modify. I will share details via message. Many thanks in advance.

Hi, I'm very familiar with the most popular online video protocols such as RTMP, HLS, RTSP, etc. I can develop the custom video player you describe for the 3 major operating systems: Windows, MacOS and Linux. I would use the cross-platform Qt Framework to develop it, the programming languages would be C++ and Python. I would like to know what are the custom features you require to integrate to the video player, and what streaming protocols or websites you want to stream from. Is it a custom streaming server? or is it from public and well known websites like Youtube or Vimeo?
