Talented Graphic Designer Sought for Collaboration

Thanks for reading this post. I'm a programmer running a successful one-man web and application development business. I'm based in London and Barcelona and I've got a sales rep in California also. I specialize in two strands: One is data driven web and client-server applications built using Microsoft technologies: ASP.NET, SQL Server, VB.Net and C#. The other is Flash MX applications, using MX 2004 and AS 2.0 with either LAMP or Microsoft back ends for Rich Internet Apps, online design tools and the like. My current resume and portfolio is linked at the bottom so you can see the kind of work I do. While, as you can see from the portfolio, I can do passable functional UI design, I'm not a graphic designer and I have little talent and almost no freehand drawing ability. I'm looking for a freelance designer who's interested in partnering on projects and exchanging back end and front end work. In addition to building good websites I write a killer bid proposal and would very much like to find someone who can produce design mocks of a similar quality. I'm currently getting a huge amount of work at more or less £13 an hour and my aim is to reduce the hours and increase the value over the next three or four years. A designer with similar hourly expectations would make for the most equitable partnership and I think I'd propose a finders fee system where whoever brings the project in gets a slightly higher hourly on that piece of work. Like any other freelancer I vary my pricing based on the current market, what I can learn from the project and how good the client looks in terms of future business. – a designer with a similarly realistic attitude would be welcome. The ideal candidate will bring the following skills to the deal: World class visual design Flash, Fireworks & Freehand Adobe Products Basic HTML & CSS Some knowledge of usability, accessibility requirements and formal UI design would be very welcome, or a commitment to learning these. You will ideally have a current need for: World class back end programming to complement your visual skills. A talented copy writer who can complement your visuals in bidding on projects. I would be interested in hearing either from individuals or design / advertising agencies who feel they could partner effectively. I've given cooperation some thought but nothing is fixed and I'd be open to suggestions from any applicant. I have a cooperative venture in mind which might, if this initial partnership is successful, add other specialists (database, security, etc.) to form a loose co-op of complementary talent.
