Delphi - this is our specialization (please look at our profile and look reviews on our work) We have a lot of experience with upgrading Delphi from not Unicode to Unicode versions, 450 K lines code - not big project :-) The last one which we have converted contains above 5 M lines and has maybe 30 third party packs. As usual if there is no much low level functions (for example Move(), ) or something like that, then conversion to Unicode goes quite smothly. About longterm cooperation - we have been working with our customers for year. Can send links to some of our customers if you want. In any case impossible to estimate without looking at code. Several of these set of components are not supported. So for part of thme would be possible to use up to date versions. TMS for emample. So of them would be necessary to use old code and move to XE version. P.S. we ask money only after all work would be done!

I have more than 20 years experience with Delphi and other programming languages and systems like C++, C# etc. I also have experience with various rdbms: Oracle , MsSql, Sqbase, MySql, PostgreSql, Sqlite. I built some own visual and non-visual Delphi components and also have experience with both VCL and Firemonkey libraries and also in cross-platform and mobile development. I have experience in migrating code from non-unicode Delphi to Unicode versions, for example I ported the TMS flashfiler library which is used now for data import from legacy system by one of my clients. Hello, I have Delphi experience starting from the very beginning. I have all Delphi versions installed on different virtual machines, including 5, 10.1 and 10.2. I hope, 3rd party components used have source - for case, if analogs do not exist in 10.x. I have also great experience in SQL optimizing, so, I am ready also for the next step. To check the program functionality, I shall need also some database. I understand, that real database can contain commercial secrets, but I hope, we shall find a solution. Hello My name is Ali and i have more than 14 years of experience in Delphi programming. I started working with Delphi from Borland Delphi 3.0 up to the latest versions of Embarcadero Delphi XE. I am completely aware of differences and changes in different versions of Delphi and i a aware of the challenges that we will be facing in this project. I reviewed the list of third party components that you listed and i worked with most of them in my previous projects. I am capable of upgrading this project from Delphi 5 to Delphi 10 and perhaps improving it further in future. However there are some difficulties that i need to clear up: 1- I can update/modify some of the components to be compatible with Delphi 10, but for some commercial components we might need to purchase the newer versions which supports Delphi 10. 2- I need to have access to components sources so i can modify them if required. If they used components that only have *.bpl files or binary files only, i wont be able to upgrade it. I can take a look at the project first via TeamViewer remotely and discover the project dependencies and potential issues that we might have before we start. Hello, I am a veteran (25+ years overall, 20 years) Delphi/database developer. I started with Delphi 1.0 in the late 1990s and am still working on Delphi (10.2.3 Tokyo). I have used several third party components (DevEx, TMS, Infopower, Raize…….). I have designed, developed and supported many large applications - some running into 5 million lines of source code, 2000+ forms. 1. What concerns me here is not Delphi 5 OR own components but third-party components. Sometimes, the vendor has gone out of business, sometimes this specific Delphi version is not supported etc etc. Can we please get more details on all third party components used? 2. Do we need Unicode conversion? These issues stem out of several migrations I have done over the past D5->D7, D7->D10, 32bit->64 bit. I am Delphi professional developer since #1 my site is www dot limelect dot com I have (right now) D7, DXE and D10.2.3 Since i have D7 it should not be to a problem to compile and understand your project. However to evaluate i need you source to see what kind of software it is and how to truckle it. There are a few problems like strings and Quick Report. Any Assembler in the source? Is it dependent on WINDOW? Special printers,or bar code ? I will not commit until i have the source for evaluation. Any special (not free) components? If yes are there any update to D10 ? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Since some of the components are paid (not free) i see a problem since some are NOT comparable to D10 So it is not only buying but also changing the project. I am not sure of the cost. It is a redesign . Component cost on customer !! And lastly is the software documented and in ENGLISH?
