I have a PHPBB3 forum that I am about to sell to another company. PHPBB logs the IP addresses for all users and posts in a MySQL database. For privacy reasons, I would like to clear (or change to another value, such as 1.2.3.4) the logged IP values for specific users (some owners, staff members) just for privacy reasons so that the new buyer does not have access to this personal data. I will provide you with the list of users that we are doing this for, and your job will be to access the database and alter the required values, by using a method of your choice. You will obviously need to be familiar with PHPBB (at least enough to know how its database operates) as well as with database editing (so you can alter the correct values without damaging anything else). When bidding, please let me know HOW you plan to do this, as well as your previous experience with this type of work. hi I am good with mysql database. Search the id's and run a proper update query to update the ip's. i will download a copy of db, so that if anything goes wrong, i can reupload the old version. Ready to start immediately. only need the phpmyadmin access. looking forward for your response.
