The approach I would take with this project is, first, establishing known users abusing your platform. I will develop PHP headers that will automatically forward proxy-based IPs and blacklisted IPs to a 404 page. This is crucial because it will automatically cross-reference each HTTP request to your site with a known list of proxy and VPN IPs, as well as residential Chinese and Russian IPs. This approach will also block datacenter IPs, which will aid in curbing false requests. The next step I would take is blocking specific HTTP headers that are a result of public proxy usage.
