Clone of fark(dot)com. Only with slightly less features. Differences include: Nothing in 3rd (right hand side) column is required except space for standard advertising. All pages except administrative pages must satisfy Google URL rules. Original site does not do this. Users are NOT required to login to submit URL or comments. Only the site administrator uses a separate page to login. Create a new CSS color theme but still with the 3 column dynamic width layout shown. Sections (what I call Categories) area will be needed. All URLs are added to a Category by the Administrator. Categories can be added/deleted/edited by Administrator only. Main Pages to be developed: - main page of URL links with descriptions and comment count, different page is shown for front page and other Category specific pages - comment page (when user clicks on Comments from a main page) - submit a comment - submit a URL Administrative Pages: - seperate login screen - new link screen showing editable URL, description, clickable URL, Accept/Reject buttons and assign Category drop-down - category add/delete/edit - comments should have an option to be removed Secondary Pages: -- feedback -- FAQ -- privacy policy, terms of use -- top links -- Archives The algorithm to select the order of links will be fairly complex and require recording user clicks throughout the system. Basic visual structure. Three column, dynamic width html/css structure with a header and footer section. Left column will hold Categories, center column will hold the links or the comments, and right column for ads. No logos or complex graphics are necessary and only basic but professional CSS color scheme should be used throughout. Final project results must work in all browsers. PHP and MySQL for the back-end. All URLs for every page must meet Google-accepted standards - ie. no parameters in the URL except in the Administrative section. Proper security precautions should be taken against all standard hacking - sql injection etc. This project is to be considered a work-for-hire, ALL copyrights must be retained by me. No third-party tools or libraries should be used to develop this project without prior written approval from me. Escrow is an acceptable payment method.
