We are looking for a photographer who can take pictures of modern books covers mostly on architecture, design, art, fashion, travel etc in English. Books should be hardcover and from publishers like Taschen, TeNeus, Phaidon, etc., see their websites and [login to view URL] in attachment. We suppose that you have a large library of such books at home or have an access to the books somewhere. In total we need about 100-150 pictures of books. Pictures should have three sides of each book - front cover, spine and back cover. Then pictures should be edited in Photoshop - background removal, horisontal/vertical alignment, merging three sides of book in one image if they were taken separately. Books should be photographed frontally without perspective distortion, and with a uniform light (no shadows or flash) for later use these pictures as textures for 3D models. Examples of final result see in attachment Final_result_examples.zip. Please keep in mind that books on images in this attachment are old and of another kind, they are just to show how the final images should look like. Kind of books we need, see in the first attachment archive. Final images should be Hi-Res and in TIF format. We will own the copyright of all pictures after they are accepted.
All the milestones of the work will be discussed directly with the candidate. If you are interested, please provide an estimate cost per one book image (taking picture + editing) and the approximate number of books you can photograph.
It will be great if you could provide us with some general photos of the library, we could see if the books you have are the one we need.
Thank you
Look forward to hearing from you.
