Vilanova i la Geltru, Barcelona, Spain I am looking for a a talented Mechanical Engineer who will be responsible for the analysis of mechanical design, development, reliability improvements, implementation and product maintenance tasks. The candidate will gain exposure to our robotic solutions with a view to improving the design, ensuring robust product performance and predictable project execution. (S)he will make recommendations for alterations to development and design to improve robotic quality and/or procedures. The person must have a can-do attitude, a good eye for detail, work independently and be unforgiving with mediocre results. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, if they have the right passion and excellence. Fluency in English is a must. Required skills and responsibilities: Bachelor's or master’s degree, preferably in one of the following areas: Mechanical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Automotive Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering Excellent oral English and good communication in general Logical, commonsensical approach to issues Highly organised and disciplined, creative, innovative with strong technical judgement, great attention to detail and strong problem solving abilities Experience with finite elements calculus and Open Source 3D modeling software to generate engineering drawings and specifications Knowledge of material properties Investigate and correct design deficiencies and component obsolescence in existing robotic design Able to interact closely with industrial design, electrical engineering and software development to create comprehensive solutions Assisting in fieldwork, prototyping and testing, checking installations, problem solving activities, providing technical advice and resolving problems Desirable skills: Genuine passion for robots and product development Knowledge of cost estimation to ensure designed products meet target costs Experience collecting and preparing of data/information for performing engineering calculations Ability to look for producers and distributors, both national and international
