Linux Centos7 System Admin: Permissions CHMOD Expertise

Server: Centos7 + Plesk Onyx Version 17.8.11 I have root access with putty. There are some FTP errors with FileZilla: - I log in root sftp and this is working correctly. All other users (developers) get a dev directory and login ftpes. BUGS: - New FTP account gets 550 transfer error on FileZilla so cannot upload files. They can only view/download.
