Hello, I want to create an ipv6 connection from a docker container to another server. I already tried the steps of the official docker documentation but didn't get it to work. Maybe I miss some step. On Google I also haven't found a tutorial which worked for me. But if you have experience with docker and maybe already configured docker with ipv6. This should be an easy task for you. The server run on ubuntu 18.04 LTS. With latest docker-ce installed. My development machine is hosted by linode. With an ipv4 and ipv6 64 subnet. At the end of the day, I want to have a container and from inside the container I like to ping google or. This is the main request, what should work. If you could also show me, what I have to configure, that my container is also reachable from another server, this would be nice, but dosn't have to.

New freelancer here. I work full time as a Site Reliability Engineer and work primarily on Cloudstack, Puppet, Docker and Linux. I am bidding a very low amount because I am just getting started with freelancing and need good rating :) Regarding your project, I need more clarification from your end, maybe we can discuss this on call sometime? From my current understanding, you want to be able to ping google (or any other site) from inside container using ipv6, if your server supports ipv6 then this should be fairly trivial to achieve. Do let me know :)

Hi. Mostly problem wirth docker and ipv6 is about routing ipv6 packest to docker0 interface I can help you without problem, just I need ssh access to your server for config. I will be creating a documentation for you about docker ipv6 configuration Open to questions.

I can have a try with that. I am fimilar with Linux. To give a container ipv6 address doesn't to be so difficult. You need to consider about security issue because docker can only operated by root and if you want to know all commands inputed by others, you need to use a remote control software such as teamviewer.
