Translate software from English to Japanese

Your task is to translate the user interfaces of our two applications TextMaker (word processor) and PlanMaker (spreadsheet) from English to Japanese. Your task is to translate the English text correctly to Japanese and insert the translations in this text file. There are about 10300 messages to translate, from short ones like "File" or "Bold" to complete sentences. Prerequisites: * Your native language must be Japanese and you must choose words and grammar in a way that the translations are acceptable to any Japanese speaker. * The bidders should have excellent grammatical skills in Japanese and should be able to make the sentences readable as if they were in their original format (as in the person reading it in Japanese should get the same understanding of the information as an English-speaking person would). * The resulting translation must look "authentic" to native Japanese readers. * No automatic translators (Babelfish, Systran etc.) allowed. You need to do a manual translation. * You will get Windows (NT, 2000, or XP) tools to compile the translations into the software so that you are able to see the translation in the actual software. This is necessary as you need to proof the translation and often translations depend on the context. ## Deliverables (The files already contain French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Russian, and Simplified Chinese translations. If something is unclear and you can understand a bit of one of these languages, this is often a good help in the translation.) 1) Complete, correct, and proofread translation (about 10300 messages) 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
