The candidate needs to bring experience in securities (including SEC reporting and national securities exchange compliance), capital markets and corporate finance, corporate governance, M&A, and private equity/venture capital financing matters, drafting registration statements. We are a publicly traded investment manager and hedge fund. We have an opportunity available in our New York office but this job can be performed remotely. Associates with two to six years of public securities and/or capital markets experience are encouraged to apply. Ideal candidates will have experience (i) representing companies, investors and underwriters in public securities transactions; (ii) representing public companies in a wide variety of matters including corporate governance and SEC and exchange reporting and compliance; (iii) has experience with FINRA and SEC registered investment advisers, broker dealers and hedge funds. Ideal candidates will have worked in the corporate department of a national or international law firm, and will have a high level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school
