I would like to make a site with similar functionality to All I need is the programming (HTML and PHP) I will be doing the graphic design myself. The site doesn´t need to have all the functioanlity of Meetup, but most of the basics would be nice: browsing groups by location and interest, creating a group, joining or leaving a group, uploading picture and personal information, creating a personal page, rsvping to an event (with yes, maybe and no). Also one or two persons who are the organizer of the group should be able to post events and notify everybody through an email list.
