Python Django Full Stack Developer / Designer

The Fourth Estate Public Benefit Corporation is looking for a Python Django Full Stack Developer / Designer to design and build the UI for Fourth Estate web properties and applications.
You will help design and build intuitive and beautiful UI and application front ends for various Fourth Estate websites and applications. You will work across the stack with other members of a small global team to build and improve the web applications and sites our users and members depend on.
The stacks we use are: Python/Django on top of Postgres or Python/Flask on top of Mongo/Elasticsearch with some other technologies sprinkled in.
The frontend is a mix modern web tech, REST APIs, AJAX, and deployed to a variety of services including Linode, AWS, baremetal, and more.
We use Git to manage code and Gitlab for issues and pull requests and Slack for internal communication.

YOU ARE AN OUTSTANDING APPLICANT IF:
You have the talent to build web properties and applications that are both intuitive and beautiful.
You have two or more years of experience writing professional production code.
You have built rich and dynamic web applications with front-end frameworks such as React, Redux, Ember, or Angular.
You are familiar with programming languages and web frameworks like Python (Django, Flask), or Node.js (Express), Ruby (Rails, EventMachine).
You expertly work beyond the boundary of frontend code to build the best product.
You flourish within a small development and engineering team and are excited to tackle open-ended problems.
This project will have very modest time requirements and will start as a contract and may scale to a full-time, long-term contract for the right person.
