We would like to update our homepage's mobile appearance and responsiveness (using responsive design for smartphones and tablets) while maintaining its current desktop appearance. In the end, the updated homepage must implement all of Google's recommendations as listed in the following documentation and tools...

We ask that all files that are to be altered, have their original version backed up on our server (with the date appended – i.e. [url removed, login to view]). We also ask that any associated files (e.g. JavaScript, SSI files for header and footer) have their name change so as to not be implemented sitewide.
