Implement Stegdetect/Notify the user/Automate the system

The system is on steganography. I have suggested to make a system that scan for any steganographic signature in email attachments (but focused on only JPEG images due to the time limit)

and to notify the user of the threat by a system notification or an alert. As the first step I have managed to download the attachments form email imap server to a respective local folders.

The second step of the project I suggested the use of "Stegdetect" (a already available system in GitHub) to scan for the images and report if any steganographic signature is recorded.

I need your assistance to make the whole process as a application

1. Integrate Stegdetect to scan the local folders

2. Notify the user if any such signature is detected

3. Make the system automated (to auto download the images and to scan them and to notify the user if a signature is detected from Stegdetect.

Requirements to project DETECTION OF STEGANOGRAPGHIC IMAGES In EMAIL ATTACHMENTS.

My goal is to scan JPEG images from email attachments for steganographic detection

and to warn the user beforehand . If any attachments gives a steganographic signature then warn the user by a system notification

(only detection/analysis is required. not needed to extract data hidden in the images)

# this above mention script runs along with a Tkinter GUI form to validate the email address and to gain access to the imap server.

+ I need to embed the tool "Stegdetect" to my system to do the scanning of the images

+ Stegdetect is a program developed to indicate any steganographic signature in an image and outputs the

probability of any steganographic algorithms used.

+ This code is available in GitHub and however it is coded in mainly 'C' language. URL-<[login to view URL]>

this code is no longer updated by the owner but i may be manageable.

+ As the email attachments download to local folders through the python code i provided

the download images must then scanned by the "Stegdetect" application for a steganographic signature

if the image gives a signature of any steganographic content a system notification must pop

to the user saying not to download the image from the specific email which may contain steganographic content
