Epson Australia is seeking a skilled freelance mechanical/electrical engineer to build a bicycle generator system. Essentially, we want to recreate the system provided by a company called 'Bike n' Blend'. We have hired their system previously for use at trade shows and other customer-facing events to demonstrate the extremely low power consumption of Epson business printers. You can easily generate enough electricity through pedal power alone to print a document with an Epson printer, but it is virtually impossible to do the same thing with a laser printer. When we approached Bike n' Blend to build us a system they declined.
