This project was a feasibility study in using the Wt toolkit for an existing C++ application. Unfortunately, the solution delivered, whilst working enough to establish the feasibility of the approach, was short on functionality, added more lines of code than the original application, and had sub par performance. I don't blame the freelancer for this, who was always knowledgable, professional, and put more hours of time into getting this working than was originally expected by both of us. As a result of this experiment, we won't be using Wt any time soon for another project, and if we try to build a web version of the product again, will more likely use asm.js/web assembly technologies.
