I am a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a "Can do!" attitude. I take pride and pleasure in my work, and remain professional and committed at all times. Attention to detail is very important to me, and I strive to deliver a perfect final result whenever I undertake, or am tasked with, a project. For me, "over and above" is the minimum standard, and I am not satisfied until what I am working on results in the best possible outcome. I am approachable and down to earth, and like to take a proactive approach to problem-solving by communicating effectively and thinking out of the box.
CPD is a very important element of my professional life, and I continually commit time and effort to furthering my knowledge and skills.
My current role has helped me perfect my time-management, team- and partnership-working, and organisational skills. Maintaining high standards and achieving goals while adhering to legal frameworks and internal policies is a must and I am well-practiced in delivering on objectives and action plans while ensuring compliance with the various requirements of internal and external stakeholders.
I have a firm grounding in IT. I have completed Cisco CCNA1 and CCNA2 and am currently working towards Cisco CCNA3, Cisco CyberOps and Oracle Financials. In my previous IT Systems Administrator Role I was in charge of all hardware, software, online presence, and digitally-delivered projects at a company with c. 150 employees. I successfully managed a number of business-critical projects which were associated with challenging deadlines and relied on the successful implementation, integration, and management of IT solutions with on-site operations. I am confident that I can, in a short period of time, become conversant in any new system needed in order to complete my work.
Since 2015, I have held the position of Web Coordinator for the Scottish Place-Name Society ( pro bono). I have delivered a brand new, modern, responsive, user-friendly website from scratch.
I like devoting a portion of my free time to learning languages and to furthering / diversifying my knowledge and skills.
