Realtor Network website
The site will connect Realtors across the country, creating a network for referring clients to one another. Not just any Realtor will be able to join the site. Realtors will fill out an application form and we will screen them. We are looking for agents that are educated, experienced, and that use email, the internet, social networking sites (Twitter, Facebook, blogging, etc.), and their cellphone (i.e. Blackberry, iPhone) as an integral part of conducting their business.
We want to build the website on an easy platform that allows for easy expansion of the site on the administrative end (so we can add pages ourselves later on) and we would like to be able to edit content ourselves as well after the site is built.
We for sure would like to use GoogleMapsAPI, and if you can check out the site [url removed, login to view] they have a form builder where you can embed forms into your website and it tracks all the data of the forms. They also have a payment built in, but the plan that has that is $15/mth more, so we might just want to use Paypal payment if that's easy enough to integrate. We are open to using other existing software that might make the site easier to build and use, since we want it up running soon and would rather have some monthly payments then a large upfront development cost. We can then do further stages of development as the site grows and becomes more popular.
Website Details
Agents will fill out the application form and if they are accepted, they will receive an email giving them a code to create a login and password on the website. They will then fill out a more detailed form that will populate a profile that includes their picture and their profile information (Name, Location, Specialization(s), link to their website, etc.). They will be prompted to pay for their subscription to the site, and accept Rules, Terms of Use, Privacy policy.
Each Realtor will have their own backend with their own login and password. In their admin section they will see three options: change their profile, view billing history, and view referral dashboard.
The referral dashboard will show the history of all past referrals sent, received, accepted, declined, completed. They can click on the referral to see the information on it: the agent who sent it/agent it was sent to, and dates of when it was sent/received/accepted/declined/completed, as well as any other information from the referral form. It will also highlight in green active referrals (at top), in blue completed referrals (middle), and red declined referrals (bottom) sections. Here they can also send a new referral. When they click to send a new referral, they are brought to a search area (that is the same as on the front end for anyone to use).
Search is by:
1) Trading area: have dropdowns Country, province, city, trading area, with each drop down refining the options on the subsequent dropdown (i.e. Canada, Ontario, Toronto, downtown Toronto)
2) residential or commercial
3) specialization (condos, luxury homes, etc.) which are a different set of options in the dropdown depending on if they selected residential or commercial
We want to be able to easily add/edit fields. Possible use of wufoo form for the search? We want the trading area search part to have an option to click Use Map, instead of using the dropdowns they can scroll through a map (like on [url removed, login to view] when you search for a property). Like on [url removed, login to view] search, we want to be able to see the Realtors that match the criteria of 2) and 3) with the ‘balloons'.
For logged in users, after searching they can select a Realtor to send a referral to. They will fill out a referral form (wufoo) that will already have some details filled in, the Realtor's name, email address, and brokerage for example. This will be sent to the receiving Realtor's regular email inbox. Both the referral dashboard of the sending and receiving Realtors of the referral need to be automatically updated.
The Realtor receiving the referral message in their email can click on the message that brings them to the site to login and check their referral. They can then accept or decline the referral. Both dashboards are updated again. The referral will be highlighted as active.

Logo and slogan. Member Login at top. We want to have some basic tabs like About Us, Contact Us and be able to add others as we need to provide marketing information and such. We want to be able to add these additional more simple pages ourselves. The search is the rest of the home page for now.
