My name is Peter Adeeko. I am the Chief Convener/ Founder of Soulace Africa. Soulace Africa is a Community based peacebuilding organisation.
THE FUTURE: SOULACE PEACE VILLAGE
Imagine you were lost in a forest and suddenly find an inscription tagged welcome to Soulace Peace Village. How will you feel?
Soulace peace village is conceived to be a model low cost, eco-friendly campus to be designed and build with readily available and renewable materials such as (Bamboo and Thatch) in a green environment somewhere along Ibadan- Ijebuode express way, Oyo state, Nigeria.
The campus is expected to bring people back to nature. And will also be our token to campaign for acceptable environmental practices, sustainable farming, housing and climate action in Nigeria. This self-sustained village is expected to have an inbuilt facilities such as peacebuilding Training dome, Trauma Release Centre ( for management of victims of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Vocational Training Hub, Skate pitch, Dormitory or Chalets for peace advocates in training, Peace Library (an exclusive library for peacebuilding research ) and peace gallery and theatre ( which will handle our transformative Advocacy, Storytelling, performing and creative art) last but not the least, our village will have livestock, arable cropping and vegetable farming at the brink of the campus. This multipurpose peace village is expected to run sustainably by the third year providing training, food, shelter, employment for the inhabitant with minimal interference or dependency on donation.
