User interface and graphic design of a website

We need a graphical and user interface design for our website, to create the best user experience (no programming).
The site is a tool to seek high quality knowledge.
Attached are screen-shots of our amateur prototype design. We need a professional touch on it. You need to make all icons, buttons and theme to be original and fit together. Along that you need to think on screen flow, hover-on button animations etc.
1.
- First page has a logo (logo will be different, it is still a work in progress), search with suggested keywords and a tag cloud of popular keywords.
- There is a login pop-up in the upper right corner, but there should be also some kind of way or pop up for the user to register through provided social media account types.
- Beneath there is a Contact link which should open a contact form.

- On the second page there are search results of the whole content. On the left there are categories related to searched keyword.
- User can filter out results by the type of the content: video, text/article/blog post, sound file, book.
- All of the records can be voted up or down or added to favourites through the heart icon.
- Favourites can be accessed through a button at the top, the results of "favourite" action will be also provided on the main screen as search results.
- Content can be added by registered users with a button at the bottom, if the user is not registered there will be a pop-up to register when he clicks it
- "Add content" window is to be discussed, for now user should need to put a link only and suggest category/tags for it.

- Each content can be clicked on for an extended version which has a detailed description, comments section beneath, share buttons and buy button from Amazon if it is a book (please also design an animation which takes place when clicking short version and extends the description)
- Each content can have a "Sponsored" and "Recommended" feature, that can be put there by admin. Clicking or hovering on "Recommended" should display a window with a few people who recommended the book/video.

- Each content type (video, text/article/blog post, sound file, book) has to have a separate transparent marker, visible on it's icon (e.g. a video file will have a youtube triangle, a book, a bookmark, etc.).
