California: Need an Engineer Approved cast-in-place concrete design for an standard 7'x14' Endless Pool that will be installed partially in-ground and features a deep-end. Deep-end is 9' (l) x 5'(w) x 24(h) deep. The retaining wall, which does not act as a structural element for the pool itself, only as a retaining wll, is approximately 24" high.
Information presented in table form is likely fine as long as all dimensions and components of wall are clearly delineated (i.e. wall length, height, thickness, toe and heel on footing sections, rebar size and spacing, etc.) What matters to the City here is that the design is certified by an Engineer. The quality of the drawings is not important as this will be an Over the Counter Permit and I will be doing all the work. So if you need to do drawings that is fine. But if not doing drawings saves time and makes this project easier, that works.
I will provide information on soil conditions, pool volume, proposed slab preparation (compaction, gravel, insulation), proposed concrete mix, proposed backfill, and proposed drainage. Happy to adopt your design across the board on all these points.
My preliminary design is on pages 2 and 3. If this design is viewed as sufficient, dimensions and characteristics could be moved to a table and given given stamp of approval.
